Face of the fortnight

SCOTT NEAL

WHO? Scott plays PC Luke Ashton in ITV's The Bill, a likeable lad whose eagerness often gets him into trouble. He has appeared on The Bill before as three different characters, including a heroin addict.

BEFORE THIS? He trained at the Anna Scher Theatre School, where his classmates included EastEnders' Patsy Palmer.

His first major role was alongside London Bridge star Glen Berry in the film Beautiful Thing, about two teenage boys who fall in love. "We had to strip and kiss and massage each other, but it was perfectly alright," says Scott. "Snogging him was just like snogging anyone." He also spent two months in India filming the yet-to-be released film Wonderland.

OFF SCREEN? 19-year-old Scott, who's single, lives in Islington, North London, with his parents Patricia and Michael, and older sister Jane. "It might be nice to get my own place, so I can come home and relax in front of the TV and not have people chatting to me all the time. But I'm in no hurry."

When he's not at home, Scott can be found driving around in his new sports car, or hanging out with his celebrity chums. "I've been to some great parties and premieres," he laughs. "I've met so many people, including Mel Gibson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Janet Jackson, Noel and Liam Gallagher."

WHAT'S NEXT? Scott is contracted to The Bill until October. "After that I'd like to do something musical, as I enjoy singing," he says. "There has been talk of me releasing a song, but I don't want to go down the road that a lot of TV actors have done, and just release something on the back of the show."

OH, AND NOT FORGETTING! Scott admits to being a shopaholic! "If you gave me any amount of money, I could spend it all in a day. I love buying clothes, shoes and trainers. If my home was on fire, I'd make sure I saved my wardrobe first!"
